A candidate in the 2018 NANS convention holding today, Amb S. A Lukman, has alleged that Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, gave his preferred candidate N10million naira.
Lukman took to his Facebook page to make this allegation, although he did not say who the ‘preferred candidate’ was.
He also alleged that the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) parted with the sum of N24million naira for same purpose.
He wrote: “Thanks to the honourable Speaker of House of Representatives for the huge cash released. But please note that only N10million reach your candidate”.
While calling on NANS Senators to ask for their own share of the ‘national cake’, the NANS aspirant wrote: “Senators ask for your cash. The era of taking money without giving the senators has gone. We must liberate NANS from businessmen, it is a students movement not a political party. #NANSDecide2018”.
On the allegations that NDDC parted with N24million for same purpose, Amb Lukman said: “Thank you NDDC, the N24million naira given to your son will go a long way. Let the sharing formula begin. Senators ask your leader your clear cut, no cheating this time. #NANSDecide2018”.
Amb S. A Lukman is a Presidential aspirant in the 2018 NANS ‘Unity’ convention. The convention is billed to hold today at the Old Parade ground, Abuja.
