Invitation to a book launch — ‘The Graduate Code’

The Vice Chancellor of the University of Benin, Prof. Faraday Orumwense, cordially invites staff and students of the University to the launching of the book, ‘The Graduate Code’, on Wednesday, 8th May, 2019.

CAMPUS GIST reports that the book launch will take place at the UNIBEN Indoor Sports Hall, Ugbowo Campus, by 10:00am.

In a statement made available to CAMPUS GIST by the Registrar, Mrs. O. A. Oshodin, she described the author of the book, Dr. Akanimo Odon, as a worthy alumnus of the University of Benin.

“Dr. Odon is an African sustainable business strategy expert with specialization and interests in knowledge transfer, capacity building models and how to navigate research, industry and policy in Africa.

“He is also an Africa Strategy Adviser of the Lancaster Environment Centre, Lancaster University, UK.

“The book, ‘The Graduate Code’, is a practical handbook for students, graduates and young professionals, which provides a clear pathway of steps and activities that students can employ to properly plan for their career progression upon graduation.

“The book’s underlying principle, “in every professional is a student waiting to learn and in every student is a professional waiting to earn…”, makes it a must read for students, graduates and the academia,” she said.

The Registrar, therefore, urged Deans, Directors and Heads of Departments to bring the notice (invitation) to the attention of their staff and students.

Findings by CAMPUS GIST revealed that the book author, Dr. Akanimo Odon, is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of EnviroFly Consulting, in the United Kingdom.
